About the campaign

After white nationalists stormed the United States Capitol on January 6th, 2021, corporations made commitments to stop funding Members of Congress, who incited the insurrection. The insurrection was an explicit attempt to overthrow the will of Black voters and destroy our democracy. It was not an isolated incident; the insurrection was an escalation of white nationalist violence legitimized by the members of Congress.
Corporations must make permanent commitments to stop political giving to all culpable Members of Congress, who refused to certify the election results, support voter suppression and are proponents of the Big Lie — a series of baseless claims stating that the election was stolen and needed to be taken back by Republicans.
Corporations play a huge part in keeping these politicians in power. Through their political giving, corporations empower candidates to spread misinformation and fuel white nationalist organizing. But we’re done allowing companies to get away with funding hate, misinformation and violence. Companies must maintain their commitment, or become culpable in a violent, deadly attempt to destroy our democracy.
